Help promote our program among your community

We’re looking to increase breast screening awareness and participation among women and trans and gender diverse people in Victoria aged 50 to 74 with no breast symptoms. We would appreciate your help in sharing our message through your channels.

We have created the below toolkit for you to use and we encourage you to share it with your communities.  We look forward to working with you to increase our breast screening rates as we work towards no deaths from breast cancer in Victoria.

Key message

You can help promote breast screening by sharing our program messaging through your channels, like newsletters, social media or in presentations during community events. The key message you can use is:

Getting a breast screen every 2 years is the best way to detect breast cancer early. BreastScreen Victoria invites women and trans and gender diverse people aged 50 to 74 without breast symptoms to have a breast screen every 2 years.

BreastScreen Victoria:

  • is free
  • is always with a woman radiographer
  • takes about 10 minutes
  • does not require a doctor's referral
  • is available across Victoria

So, if you’re aged 50 to 74 without breast symptoms, book a free, 10-minute breast screen today.

Podcast: Behind the Screen

BreastScreen Victoria has launched a 6-part podcast series called Behind the Screen offering a closer look into the life-saving program.

This series was created to help women feel supported and a little less nervous when they come to our service. Listeners will hear how early detection saves lives, how the latest technology is shaping the program, and how personalised care is making a difference.

We have an incredible guest line up including program leaders, clinicians, community partners and clients.

We hope the podcast helps community and healthcare organisations learn more about our program so they can better support women to screen.
