Welcome BreastScreen Victoria’s new CEO

BreastScreen Victoria is delighted to announce that Terri Smith has joined us as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Terri brings a wealth of experience to BreastScreen Victoria with more than 20 years in executive-level roles in the not-for-profit health sector. Terri joins us from her most recent role as CEO of PANDA – Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia. Before that, she was CEO of Optometry Victoria. Terri is committed to improving women’s health and also previously worked at Breast Cancer Network Australia as Deputy CEO/National Policy Manager.

Terri brings rich experience from her early years working in community health, women’s and community services. She is committed to ensuring equality of access to services and has skills in working with a wide range of harder-to-reach communities. Terri brings great passion to support BreastScreen Victoria’s vital work.

Terri has officially commenced at BreastScreen Victoria today, replacing former CEO Vicki Pridmore who retired from the organisation after a 12-year tenure.

"I am excited to be taking over this role in this important organisation," Terri said. "I am looking forward to leading the crucial work of BreastScreen Victoria in reducing the impact of breast cancer. While these are difficult times, with our screening services currently suspended, we remain committed to working together for the best outcomes for Victorians."

Welcome, Terri!
