Today is Volunteer Recognition Day, a day to celebrate and honour those around the world who volunteer to benefit others.
We want to thank all the individuals living across Victoria and extend special thanks to our BreastScreen Victoria volunteers. Our Ambassadors and Consumer Representatives give their time and energy to promote the importance of breast screening and make sure that our breast screen service meets the needs of eligible Victorians.
Our outstanding team of volunteers includes Jan, Lindsey, and Jenny.
Jan is passionate about making sure that BreastScreen Victoria is accessible to all communities. She works closely with the Karen community in Bendigo, helping them navigate the health system and overcome breast screening barriers.
Lindsey promotes our vital message about the importance of breast screening in the community. She loves connecting with women of all different backgrounds and making sure they know how easy a breast screen can be.
Jenny has been involved with BreastScreen Victoria for several years. Most recently, she played an essential role in ensuring the consumer's voice was represented.
