MP opens new Sunshine BreastScreen clinic

State Member for St Albans Natalie Suleyman MP opened the new Sunshine BreastScreen clinic. This spacious and centrally-located new site will provide comfort and convenience to breast screening clients in the area.

Ms Suleyman met with BreastScreen Victoria CEO Terri Smith, Ambassador and local client Cathy Dickinson, and radiographer Jennifer Do for a tour of the new site followed by a ribbon-cutting to open the clinic officially.

"It's so important that women aged 50-74 get screened regularly for breast cancer, and a clinic just opposite Sunshine Plaza will make the process even easier for women in our community," Ms Suleyman said.

"I want to thank BreastScreen Victoria and all of the radiographers and staff for the incredible, life-saving work that they do."

The new clinic is located at 338-340 Hampshire Crescent, Sunshine, Vic 3021. The site has free on-site parking, and clients have the added convenience of being just opposite Sunshine Plaza shopping centre.

Ms Dickinson said, "The central location is perfect for this area, the convenience with the shops and public transport is great. I live locally but would book my screens in another suburb due to the convenience. Now that this clinic is here, I would attend this location, what a great spot."

The previous Sunshine BreastScreen clinic located at Sunshine Hospital is now permanently closed.
