Seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists – Expression of Interest due 22 June

BreastScreen Victoria is seeking to commission a Victorian-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artist to create an original artwork for a breast screening shawl that helps women feel culturally safe and comfortable. The artwork will also be printed on a postcard and poster and used in social media to promote breast screening.

The artwork will reflect women’s business and is intended to represent a story of health and wellbeing that includes breast health and breast screening for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women aged over 40.

All submissions will be reviewed, and the artist will be selected by BreastScreen Victoria Aboriginal and Torres Strait members of our Consumer Network.

Artists will be paid $5,000 for their work
