Check in on your health during Women’s Health Week

Women exercising.

This year’s Women’s Health Week promotes the importance of checking in on your health. What better way to do that than booking a free breast screen if you’re due for your regular check.

BreastScreen Victoria is a proud community partner for Women’s Health Week, which runs from Monday 7 to Friday 11 September. With COVID-19, it is more important than ever to look after your health and wellbeing.

We asked some of our amazing ambassadors to share their thoughts with us around women’s health.

Maryann screens at our Rose Clinic in Melbourne. “My message ahead of Women’s Health Week is to take care of your body and mind, exercise, eat a well-balanced diet, and make use of services such as Breastscreen Victoria.”

Kylie screens at our Heidelberg clinic. “Many people tend to prioritise others and put their own health to one side," she said. "Looking after yourself is the greatest gift you can give those you love by being there for them physically, mentally and emotionally.”

Lena screens at Maroondah. “Ahead of Women’s Health Week, I would urge others to take care and find time to have check-ups, especially breast screens," Lena said. "They are not painful; you may be a little uncomfortable, but it is minimal.” Three tiles featuring BSV Ambassadors.

Win a night’s stay at The Langham Melbourne

We are offering the added incentive of a luxurious night’s accommodation at The Langham Melbourne for one lucky client. To go in the draw, clients should quote ‘Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week’* when making a booking. (Prize will be made available once restrictions allow.)

BreastScreen Victoria will actively be promoting good health to our clients and hosting a small event to celebrate Women’s Health Week.  We look forward to good health over these coming months.

Book your breast screen online or by calling 13 20 50.
