Last week, we officially opened our newest clinic in Caroline Springs, making it easier for thousands of women in Melbourne’s rapidly expanding West to access our breast screening service.
Although the clinic has been supporting the community for the past three months, the official opening celebration recognised the significance of bringing this service closer to home for women living in the City of Melton and surrounding areas. Located at Unit 4/1042 Western Highway, Caroline Springs, the clinic operates Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm. We now run our service from 56 clinics across Victoria. Our CEO Rita Butera attended the recent opening event and highlighted the importance of expanding services in the region.
“The demand for screening in this area is incredibly high, and having a clinic here means more women can access screening closer to home. Every woman who screens is a potential life saved through early detection,” she said.
Rita also reflected on the broader vision behind the expansion.
“This clinic is one of the final sites in our four-year service expansion plan, and it’s wonderful to see this vision come to life. We’re committed to increasing participation across Victoria, and this clinic will help us reach even more women.”
She acknowledged the strong collaboration behind the project, thanking Lake Imaging, IDX, and the consumers who contributed to the clinic’s design.
The Caroline Springs clinic forms part of our ongoing effort to expand screening services across the state, ensuring more people can access timely, high‑quality care and improve long‑term health outcomes.
