BreastScreen Victoria thanks our volunteers

Today is Volunteer Recognition Day, a day to celebrate and honour those worldwide who volunteer to benefit others. Here at BreastScreen Victoria, we are thankful to have a Consumer Network comprised of over 1500 dedicated and passionate volunteers.

Our Consumer Network supports the work we do at multiple levels. Over the past year, Consumer Network Members have provided feedback and direction in opening three new screening clinics and helped design client resources with our Nurse Counsellors.

We want to extend our gratitude to all of our BreastScreen Victoria volunteers. Their hard work and commitment ensure that we continue to deliver safe, accessible and high-quality screening services for eligible Victorians.

Our outstanding team of volunteers includes Kylie Jones. Kylie has been a member of the Network since 2018. She is passionate about empowering women to take care of their health and care for themselves and joined the Network so she can support us in increasing access to screening for all women in a way that is supportive and welcoming to them.

Listen to Kylie share her favourite memory of BreastScreen Victoria, her goals as a member of our Consumer Network, and her message to women.
