2022 in review: Consumer Engagement

2022 was a big year for Consumer Engagement at BreastScreen Victoria. We grew our Consumer Network substantially and got to see the Consumer Engagement Framework in action across different areas of the BreastScreen Victoria program.  

Many Consumer Network members shared feedback of their engagement experience in our annual evaluation survey, with respondents rating their experience a 4.6 out of 5. One consumer shared that, “It feels good to be part of something that ultimately helps people and leads to better health outcomes for patients, and also be able to offer my Communications/Media/Public Relations skills set for feedback on various BSV resources as well.” 

BreastScreen Victoria staff have enthusiastically included consumers in their work, with over 20 activities and projects including consumers over the past year. New clinic openings, resource reviews and media activities have all been supported by consumer insights, ensuring our services are responsive and reflective of our clients’ needs.
