Position Summary:
About the role:

Lead the delivery of community engagement initiatives across priority Local Government Areas.

Manage, coach and support a team of three Bilingual Engagement Officers.
-
Build and strengthen trusted relationships with Arabic-speaking communities, community leaders and multicultural organisations.
-
Develop partnerships with local councils, GPs, Primary Health Networks and community groups.
-
Coordinate community events, education sessions and culturally responsive health promotion activities.
-
Drive projects that increase awareness of breast screening and improve participation within culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Monitor outcomes and continuously improve engagement strategies.
About you:

Fluency in Arabic (essential).
-
Strong cultural knowledge, lived experience and/or established connections within Arabic-speaking and Muslim communities.
-
Experience in community engagement, community development, health promotion or multicultural project coordination.
-
Demonstrated experience leading or supervising staff.
-
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
-
Confidence presenting to community groups and facilitating engagement activities.
-
A current Victorian Driver Licence and willingness to travel across metropolitan Melbourne.
