EOI Train the Trainer
We are seeking expressions of interest from people that want to help create healthier, more informed communities by attending our free, full-day breast health workshop, designed to deepen your understanding of the BreastScreen Victoria program and the importance of breast screening.
This training will equip participants with the knowledge, skills and resources to confidently share breast health information and promote breast screening within the communities they support.
By increasing the reach of trusted community voices, we aim to improve awareness of breast screening and support greater participation among multicultural women.
About the training
This free, interactive, in-person session has been designed specifically for people who work closely with multicultural communities.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of:
- The BreastScreen Victoria program
- The importance of regular breast screening
- Common barriers multicultural women may face when accessing screening
- Effective ways to communicate breast health information across diverse communities
- Available multilingual and culturally appropriate resources
The session will also provide opportunities to connect with other community leaders, bicultural workers and multicultural service providers who share a commitment to improving health outcomes.

What participants said
Feedback provided after the workshop showed that all attendees felt either confident or very confident to provide breast screening information and support to their communities, including supporting someone who is hesitant to have a breast screen, guide the booking process and address myths and misconceptions.
