Mobile screening service arrives in Yarrawonga

Mulwala breast cancer survivor Liz Silins encourages women to book an appointment for a breast screen while the BreastScreen Victoria Mobile Screening Service is in town.

The 65 year old attended a routine two yearly appointment at the van in Yarrawonga in 2010 and was subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer.

“I had no symptoms when I went for a mammogram and they found something that couldn’t be felt. My treatment was straightforward because they found it so early, so I had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy,” said Ms Silins.
