This page contains essential information about our service and is regularly updated.

ALERT! You must not attend your BreastScreen appointment if you have any of the following:

  • Fever
  • Chills or sweats
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Runny nose
  • Have been diagnosed with COVID-19
  • Have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Please call us on 13 20 50 to reschedule your appointment.

If you have any new breast symptoms or changes, please see your doctor without delay. It is currently very safe to see your doctor and have a physical examination, and any recommended diagnostic imaging. If your doctor recommends a specialist appointment, it will be readily available as will any treatment you require. You can find information on breast cancer symptoms on our website.

If you have an increased risk of breast cancer due to family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer or have had breast cancer in the past, please see your doctor to discuss if it is appropriate for you to wait for your breast screen.

BreastScreen Victoria is a population screening program for those with no symptoms of breast cancer.
