Welcome to Breastscreen Victoria

BreastScreen is a breast cancer screening program for women aged 50 to 69.

BreastScreen recommends a screening mammogram once every two years.

BreastScreen is free and no doctor's referral is required.

The program is for women who do not have any breast symptoms or changes. If you have noticed an unusual change in your breasts it is important that you visit your doctor as soon as possible, before you make an appointment at BreastScreen Victoria.

While screening mammograms are primarily recommended for women age 50 to 69, women in their 40s and over 70 are still at risk of breast cancer and are welcome to have a free breast screening mammogram with BreastScreen Victoria every two years.

It is important for all women to get to know the normal look and feel of their breasts. Please see your doctor without delay if you notice any unusual changes.

There are many BreastScreen Victoria centres located throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

To arrange your free screening mammogram please phone 13 20 50 (for the cost of a local call)
