The David Jones Rose Clinic

8 June 2010

BreastScreen Victoria is pleased to announce its first screening centre in the heart of the city. The Rose Clinic, located on the 3rd floor of the David Jones Bourke Street women’s store, will offer Victorian women a convenient new site for their FREE two-yearly breast screens.

The Rose Clinic will house ‘state of the art’ mammogram screening technology and offer free breast screening carried out by St Vincent’s Hospital, to more than 7,000 Victorian women aged 40 and over each year.

BreastScreen Victoria Chief Executive Officer Vicki Pridmore said the opening of the David Jones Rose Clinic is a welcome addition to screening services in Victoria.

“Finding convenient places for women to attend breast screening helps ensure that screenings are done on a regular basis. Being able to offer Melbourne women breast screening services in the heart of the CBD will be ideal for women working or living in the city,” said Ms Pridmore.

The Rose Clinic will commence screening women in mid-August 2010. For all media enquiries please contact 0438 031 579
